Green power: Navistar shows off electric truck at Oregon Convention Center

Navistar invited area business, government and education officials to test drive the company’s new electric truck, the eStar, Tuesday in a largely empty exhibit hall at the Oregon Convention Center. It challenged the officials to maneuver the truck through a special skills course.
The plug-in eStar drives as far as 100 miles on a single charge and handles a payload of up to 4,000 pounds.
