International's 2007-Compliant Diesel Technology Fuel-Efficient ProStar™ Truck Makes Its Washington Debut

Washington, DC — May 10, 2006 — International Truck and Engine Corporation’s engine technology for meeting 2007 diesel emissions standards — engineered into the company’s new, fuel-efficient International® ProStar™ Class 8 truck — made its Washington debut with Congressional and U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officials this week.

The ProStar truck, with International® Green Diesel Technology® and ultra-low-sulfur fuel, was also featured at a technology exhibit and ride-n-drive event sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers at RFK Stadium, and in showings for members of Congress on Capitol Hill.

The company’s new, 2007-compliant International® MaxxForce™ 11 and MaxxForce™ 13 engines will be available in the ProStar beginning in October 2007. These engines are the first to be launched through International’s agreement with German truck maker MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG.
